Darlene McLeod is a doctoral student of Religious Studies at the University of Ottawa, specializing in ritual and theories of agency. Her current research is an examination of the Jericho March and ritual use in Christian Nationalist protest environments. She previously completed her Master of Arts in Religion and Public Life at Carleton University, researching women and ritual innovation.

She speaks on Christian Nationalism as a social movement as well as its theological intersections. She has previously published works of creative nonfiction, including in the Globe & Mail, Soliloquies Anthology, EVENT Literary Magazine, and Geez Magazine.
